Research Computing supports the computing needs of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's research community, from basic infrastructure to sophisticated analysis pipelines, as well as custom solutions to unique computing needs. For more details about what we offer, see our Services.
Research Computing is available to refer, consult, and assist in addressing research IT issues, including those that may seem unconventional or unclear. If you have an IT question or concern you would like to explore, we're here to help. Please contact one of our directors, and we will work together on a solution.
The Dana-Farber Research Data Center at 20 Overland Street houses the computing equipment of many DFCI research departments, including at infrastructural, departmental, and individual levels. The center is supplied with conditioned power, large uninterruptible power systems for emergencies, sufficient air-conditioning, and a modern fire system. Approved users are able to access the data center by card. The data center is not staffed on a 24/7 basis.
If you are interested in housing equipment in the Data Center, contact us several weeks in advance so we can ensure adequate space, power, etc.
If you need more information about or access to Research Computing services, contact us.
